Blog Assignment

The National Black Child Development Institute

Focus: The organization focuses on the strengths and needs of the community and of cultural competence. The organization serves as a National resource agency provides programs advocacy, publication and training related to early child care, health, literacy, education, family engagement and child welfare.

The organization serves as a national resource agency, parenting programs, cultural competence, publications, k-12 education, health and wellness literacy, family engagement, and child welfare.

The organization works through coalition building with community-based organizations, foundations, corporations, school systems, elected officials, government, child care, head start, and many other public and private partnerships. This organization participates in programs across the country focuses on health, literacy, family engagement, and preparation for college.

The idea of the organization caught my attention and that it is the only national organization dedicated exclusively to the well-being and success of black children and has been an effective and a powerful voice on issues related to care, health, and education of black children and their families.

I have also learned that this organization is directly linked to T.E.A.C.H, and the, I make a difference for young children campaign. I make a difference for young children campaign helps children with school and life readiness supporting teachers supporting families and their children’s cognitive development, and promoting relationships building and partnering with parents. Early childhood teachers have the opportunity to engage their community, state leaders and funders.

The (T.E.A.C.H) Teacher Education and Compensation Helps early childhood projects gives scholarships to child care workers to complete their education in the early childhood field.

  1. thanks for the info. That is really good. Do we know who is the owner of this organization. I assume this to be a non-profit organization. Do they get any government support? Government should support this as this helps the demographics and diversity we are taught this week. With such organization, they can also represent the rights of the black children and family. Thankyou for sharing. So glad to hear there is such kind of organization supporting the black children. tks
